Ads

Create text or image-based ads and have them run in multiple placements throughout your site. Randomize ads or select specific ads for specific placements. You can choose release and expiration dates for time-sensitive, scheduled content. Ads can be hyperlinked to any destination and open in the current window or a new window. Advertisements are displayed in the portal via two CRM entities: The Ad Placement entity and associated Ad entity. Ads can be surfaced in many ways: with pre-made Liquid Templates available within the Adxstudio Portals application (Portals Version 7.0.0015+), via Liquid Templating/example Web Templates (Version 7.0.0013+), or within the desired .aspx page via MVC actions.

Polls

Polls give your web audiences a quick and easy way to voice their opinion on concise topics and then immediately see feedback from their vote, automatically.

The Adxstudio Portals Polls provide single question or multiple choice response polls on simple topics of interest. Either way, responses are instantly stored and associated with the applicable CRM Contact record for immediate review or aggregate reporting. You can use them as simple market research tools and, if you refresh or rotate the polls dynamically, you'll keep your website looking current and topical. 

Polls are placed on the portal via the PollPlacement control. This control works very similarily to the AdPlacement control.  If there are any polls associated with the Poll Placement entity that is being rendered by the PollPlacement control, then those polls will be rendered.  If there is more than one poll for a given placement, the placement will randomly present one of the specified polls.

Users may vote anonymously. Duplicate votes are not permitted. Basic information about submissions is tracked in CRM and users who log into the website will have their submissions linked to the contact entity tracking that user in CRM.

Ratings

Ratings provides users with the ability to rate or vote on a Web page or Blog Post.  Ratings can also be enalbed for comments on pages or blog posts. By Default this feature is disabled and can be enabled on a page by page basis within the CRM.

Ratings are custom CRM activities and thus can be used in the same way as any other activity such as emails, phone calls, and so on.  Because Ratings are activities, it is possible, with customization, to have ratings appear for any entity you choose that appears and is rendered on the portal, including custom entities.

Redirects

Customers frequently want to have a simple url that redirects to a page deeper in the site, or they want to allow for a legacy url to be used with the site and automatically redirect to a new url in the site. Page redirects allow a content author to specify a url that when requested will be redirected on a permanent or temporary basis to a specific web page or web file. These redirect urls are managed separately from the page content so that they do not have to fit directly in the web heirarchy.

Managed Forms

Adxstudio Portals delivers managed forms by rendering a form in an Adxstudio Portal based on a particular form or view customization defined on an entity in CRM. Within CRM, entities can be customized and forms and views can be modified or created depending on your requirements. Typically an entity consists of attributes that you would like to expose in a portal to allow users to provide values to create records in CRM. Generally we recommend creating a new form for use within the portal seperate from the main form(s) used within CRM to view the records. This provides the ability to ensure fields that should be exposed to the portal and those that should only be seen within CRM are maintained. Once an entity's form or view has been edited to suit your desired layout then a developer can add the CrmEntityFormView custom server control to a page template to surface the form in a web page within the website

The Knowledge Base features of Adxstudio Portals allow you take knowledge base articles stored in CRM, and share that information with customers.

SharePoint Document Library

Microsoft Dynamics CRM support integration with SharePoint that enables you to use the document management capabilities of SharePoint from within Microsoft Dynamic CRM. Adxstudio Portals 7 now supports uploading and displaying documents to and from SharePoint directly on an Entity FormWeb Form or Managed Forms in the portal.
